Easy Caramel Dip

This is a hard choice. What do I blog about first? After some thought, I decided I’m going to keep it short and sweet. No pun intended.  Thanks to Heidi at Perfect Imperfection, I found this via Pinterest (of course) and fell in love.  Who doesn’t like thick, gooey caramel scooped up by fresh, crisp apples? Yeah, that’s what I thought. And it’s super easy!

Ingredients

1 can sweetened condensed milk (yep, that’s it)

**You can buy 2 different types of cans. One that needs a can opener, and one that doesn't (it has a pull tab). Use the one that needs a can opener! I've tried this with the pull tab one and it doesn't work.
Directions

First of all, don’t open the can! Tear the paper off of the unopened can and place in the bottom of a crock pot. Fill the crock pot with water until the can is covered. Place the lid on and turn the setting on low. Cook on low for 8 hours.  Then, carefully remove the can and place in the fridge (still unopened). Let cool at least 2 hours before opening. THEN you can open it and stir it up well. Make sure your apples are sliced and ready or it may be gone before the fruit can be introduced to the caramel. SO good!
