Strawberry Cereal Bars

I made no-bake granola bars this week and they are almost gone already (and I only ate one)! I have to admit, it's very nice having them presliced and wrapped up for Tony to grab. Plus, they are way cheaper than buying granola bars from the store, especially considering how quickly he goes through them.
We both really like the cereal bars with strawberries. Well, apparently they are actually bits of cranberries flavored to taste like strawberries. Who knew? Anyway, Aldi has cereal that is similar to Special K and has real dried strawberries. I decided to make some bars with that and they turned out great! They are soft and gooey like rice krispie bars, but have a whole twist on the flavor similar to the Special K cereal bars. 




Don't they look yummy!? And, believe it or not, this is all you need!


Prepare cereal by squeezing the bag lightly to break the flakes and strawberry pieces up (don't crush too much).


In a med-large pot, melt butter on low heat.


Add marshmallows and stir occasionally until melted.


Add marshmallow mixture to the cereal and stir well.


Working quickly, press the mixture into the prepared 9x13 pan and press down firmly and evenly. (May need to "butter up" your hands so it doesn't stick to you.)


Let cool completely before serving.


 You can let them stay, covered, in the pan or you can slice them up into bars and wrap in plastic wrap.

1 (12 oz) box cereal flakes with strawberries {about 6 cups}
1 (10 oz) bag marshmallows
3 Tbsp butter

Directions

Lightly grease a 9x13 pan with butter.
