Lingerie Cookies

The other day I received a text message from a friend to see if I could host her bachelorette party.  Yes!  Sounds like fun!  Because I did not know this in advance, I had to find snack ideas that were quick since I only had a couple of days to prepare.  I saw this gem on Pinterest.  I thought it was so adorable.  They were a big hit. :)

Lingerie Cookies

Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough
Cooling rack
spatula
heart cookie cutters
frosting
(already prepared and home made)
sprinkles
 decorating bag and tips
Sterilized tweezers
toothpicks

To make the cream cheese frosting you need:

4 oz. soft cream cheese
4 oz. soft butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Food coloring

Blend the cream cheese and butter until smooth.  Add powdered sugar slowly until mixed, scraping the sides as needed.  Stir in the vanilla.  Color to preference.  I left half white and made pink with the other half.

1. I cut of small chunks of the dough and used my hand to pat it "flat" to about 1/8 inch.  I tried using a rolling pin and I didn't like the way it worked.  Using my cookie cutters, I carefully cut my cookies out and placed them on my pan.  Following the direction on the back of the Pillsbury dough bag, I baked the cookies.
It was pretty funny.  While trying to find quick items, I decided I would try using already prepared sugar cookie dough.  I have never used it.  Yes, that is right, I have never used it.  I usually just use Mom's recipe but I was trying to be fast. :)

 2.  Allow the cookies to cool completely.

3.  While cooling, I prepared my cream cheese frosting.  As stated above, I left some white and the other half pink.  I filled my decorating bags with the white and red frosting.  Also, I bought Betty Crocker cake icing with tips.  I tried leaving it in the bottle and using their tips but I was having a hard time so I used another decorating bag and released a bunch of the prepared frosting in there.  It worked great for me.

At the store my husband found these adorable sprinkles to make these cookies look super cute.

4.  Turning the cookies upside down, carefully draw your "panties" and "bras".  It is so easy and a lot of fun to decorate. Here's where the tweezers and toothpicks come in handy.  The little edible pearls were much easier to handle with tweezers. :)

These cookies could also be a lot of fun to do with your bridesmaids as a fun "game" at the party!
